  1. These episodes with Dayn Perry are an absolute train wreck and I love every second of it.

  4. Carson,

After just listening to David Simon’s SI podcast, I can’t help but think that inviting him to do a podcast on fangraphs would lead to interesting analysis on 1) baseball and 2) existential despair. Okay, so maybe 1) is stretching it, but it seems he is a really big baseball fan (O’s specifically).

  5. carson –
i just finished listening to this podcast, and as a person currently engaged in the pursuit of a ph.d. in neuroscience at an institution only somewhat inferior to princeton university, i feel compelled to inform you that i do, in fact, have the world cornered. to wit:

-in what other field will a staggering 14% of recent graduates achieve their desired employment?

-in what other field is >15 years of training required to achieve said desired employment, according to unwritten but entrenched practices, in order to perform tasks only tangentially related to said training?

-in what field can >10 years of said ‘training’ be equally well-described with the term ‘exploitative labor’?

however, this whole scheme does allow me to listen to you unrefined gentlemen whilst doing the thing generously called “working”. so what if i’m miserable, i’ve got podcasts. thanks for the podcast.
