  1. As a member of the Hank Conger fan club I find this move disturbing for Hank’s future.

There is a possibility that Hank splits time with Iannetta this season but I have a growing concern that Conger, who has never really had any significant and consistent playing time, is going to be packaged up in a trade this offseason, perhaps for James Shields or some other piece.

  4. I don’t know much about this Conger kid. A (very) brief glance at his profile indicates some power potential but not much else. Also noted he has had a few cups of coffee with little to show for it. Was he the next big thing in Anaheim? Are his catching skills where the talent lies?

  5. unfortunately, it looks like we’ll never know.

He’ll get coffee for the next couple of seasons, get claimed on waivers.

If he’s lucky, the team that claimed him will have noone at CA and be forced to play him.

If he’s unlucky, he’ll go back to step one.

  6. how in the world did they convince him to bypass the market?? considering how weak the C market is, Ianetta would have made a lot more than $15M in free agency. stunning.
