  1. Thanks for the podcast. On the father/son thing, I started in a 12-team fantasy league on ottoneu last year (keeper league with $400 cap, fangraphs points scoring) and co-managed a team with my 12-year-old son, and going into next season he is taking over a team and will manage it on his own. It’s been a blast. To provide some context, he loves baseball, plays it in little league, we are huge Twins fans and regularly attend games at Target Field (are now season ticket holders), and the past two years travelled to other cities to see games (Cleveland and SD) and next summer are going on a 6-ballpark odyssey on the east cost (Fenway, Yankee Stadium, Citi-Field, Camden Yards, Nationals & Phillies), and he also collects baseball cards, including taking over my old card collection. But our co-participation, and pehnding competition in the ottoneu league has made it even more fun and enhaced the shared experience of our love for the game. The other players in the ottoneu league are generally work colleagues (8 of the 12) and mixed between hardcore baseball fans/fantasy players and complete amateurs. So my son is a full generation younger than any other league members but due to his intense interest in baseball and stats can hold his own, has readily taken to talking smack with them (at least virtually but sometimes literally), is comfortable proposing trades on his own (we discussed and agreed all of our trades this year, and he came up with many good trade ideas). He’s taking over the team that finished 11th and is relishing the chance to rebuild them and is developing a strategy to do so that’s a long-term one, heavily relying on prospects. He does his own research, though we share many discussions about players and strategies, etc. So I am maybe a decade ahead of Eno in the sense that he’s thinking about playing in fantasy leagues with his son, while I’m already able to do so (and suspect there are many other FG readers who are in the same place as I am), and I’m really looking forward to many years of fantasy leagues with him.
