  4. As of right now, the team believes that Alvarez will be able to remain at the position for at least a few years. They’re assessing LaRoche for a possible conversion to 2B.

  7. Ideally, Alvarez. If Alvarez is the 3b of the future, then either LaRoche moves to 2b, or maybe Delwyn Young can show enough pop to stay there. They don’t have a great defensive alternative to LaRoche, though, and I’m not really sure how well that move would work. Hopefully Andy starts hitting more consistently, to make things a little easier.

  8. I’m a big Chase D’Arnaud fan. He seems to have that all around, polished game that translates well to each new level.
