  1. Happy for Ruggiano. There are lots of guys in the upper minors who are probably looking at each other and saying that if Rugs can have a breakout year, I can be an all star.

Solid questions as we have come to expect from David.

  2. I really do think he’s got this. He probably profiles to be one of the Marlin’s better players… so in that light, they need way more than a CF upgrade.

  4. “That’s baseball” is just a ridiculous quote that makes me think of Crash Davis giving Nuke Laloosh his media training. Something rotten is discussed and magically the phrase “that’s baseball” comes up. If he was asked about Delmon Young, this would be his response: “I don’t think he’s anti-Semitic. People drink and try to beat up Jews; that’s baseball.”

  5. Ironicly, I think you took his quote out of context. In Rugs context, That’s baseball means that things get blown out of proportion by the media and fans.

  6. As a Marlins fan, Justin is one of the few somewhat bright spots I can be optimistic about for this upcoming season. I hope he can build on the success he had last season and, with some luck, maybe the Fish can surprise some people this season. There’s not really anywhere else to go but up from here…
