  1. I find it interesting that scouts are so willing to share opinions with you. Not anything against you personally, but I sort of assumed that scouts would keep opinions to themselves and their higher-ups. Are these off the cuff remarks they made, or did you make a point of asking them about these guys. Is there a lot of cross-talk amongst scouts at minor league games?

  3. I wonder if Jim Thome would make sense for the Brewers. If he’s still at all capable at first, he’s likely a better option than any of the internal candidates save Morris, and in that case would allow them to delay his arbitration clock. Even if he’s not an everyday player, the Brewers really only have Logan Schafer as a suitable LH pinch hitter.
