  1. That was an “I see ya, big fella” worthy bomb.

  2. Apparently Justin Upton hit a ball even further today. I like gifs :)

  3. Just one day I’d like miggy to take a page out of the WWE playbook. after bombing something that far, stare into the camera and shout “That’s what I do!”

    That’s just a monster.

  4. Yeah… wish there was some footage of Upton’s blast. Oh well, it’s probably better in the imagination anyway.

  6. I’d LOVE to read this article, but I know it’s gonna have a ton of GIFs that slow down my browser and eventually crashes it. If this is just me, I’ll shut up, but if I’m not the only one…

Can’t everyone just link to each gif on a separate page? It adds 2 seconds to reading the article and saves some of us from skipping over good Jeff Sullivan stuff.

  7. Miggy’s swing is beauty. The man can rake like few others in the history of the game. It’s still February and he is in fine form.

  9. No, if he took a page out of the WWE’s book, he’d purposely boot a ball in game 7 of the World Series, then take off his jersey top to reveal a nationals (or whoever they’re playing) jersey underneath. Then dramatic commentary “I can’t believe it! He was a national all along”. Heel turn.

  10. The guys is good, but I’d rather have Mike “Whirwind” Trout, Robinson “Doggin’ It” Cano, Adrian “Great Wall” Beltre, Buster “Olney” Posey, Yadier “Mushman” Molina, Ryan “Drumstick” Braun, and Matt “Hummingbird” Kemp.

  14. Completely agree. Miggy has the best right-handed swing I’ve seen and I love watching him demolish A-list pitchers with it.

  16. Miggy Cabrera is a baseball player, and he excels at both aspects of the game: hitting AND batting.

  19. I hope you are joking when you say that September baseball is more important than April baseball. A win in any month or on any day of the regular season counts exactly the same as a win in any other month or on any other day; the same goes for a loss.
September seems more important because it happens near the end.

  21. I’m pretty sure April games are only worth three-fifths of a September game. This is the way the founders wanted it.
