  1. I remember this from last year, and I loved it. So glad to see it’s back.

  2. Shenanigans! You clearly still hate my team, based on some yet-unpublished ranking having a slightly different opinion of my team’s player than I have, which I find unacceptable!

  5. This was my favorite series from last year. For me, the rankings don’t matter that much, except to give a general idea, but I love getting a position-by-position exposition of whom each team has.
I appreciate your going to the extra work to provide an objective ranking. I know this will have flaws, such as not giving Jose Molina the credit he deserves for pitch-framing, but that will give us opinionated non-experts something to discuss.

  7. I would be interested to find out more about the predictive power of these models. I am no expert in econometrics, but models I’ve come up with can fit the historical data very well yet have little predictive value.

Also, I’d love to see some sort of a distribution rather than just the mean projection. For example, if a rookie and veteran have the same mean projection maybe the standard deviation for the rookie is much higher. Of maybe the rookie’s probability curve is right skewed, with most comparable guys not doing so well but the occasional guy succeeding in a big way.
