  2. Getting almost all or almost all starts from a group of 5 starters, does appear to be a coincidence aligned with Bryan Price. Here are the game starts for the 2003 Mariners club, of which he was the pitching coach:

    33 Jamie Moyer*
    32 Ryan Franklin
    32 Joel Pineiro
    33 Freddy Garcia
    32 Gil Meche

    162 GS’s, 5 pitchers.

  3. I think the most important attribute for a coach is the ability to assess each player as an individual, rather than relying on universal theories or philosophies. Seems like Price feels that way as well.

  4. Mark Price will at some point make a great manager he is now a pitching coach with a staff of future prosperity.
