  1. If you had Harper in a dynasty league, would you trade him? I get 3-for-1 offers like Granderson, Weaver, Todd Frazier for him, but I’m not biting. Thoughts?

  2. Trade Rivera for Gio? Dynasty league, where my current pitching staff consists of Buchholz, Minor, Peavy, Cashner, Lincecum, and Garza. Is that good enough to carry me through the season? Or do I make the trade? Currently in 2nd place, and lead in Saves).

  3. Protip: Saisons are not necessarily made with Brettanomyces. Plenty of classic saisons are just made with interesting Saccharomyces cerevisiae strains (the “normal” beer yeast). For example: Logsdon (great beer) makes both Seizoen and Seizoen Bretta. The former has only “normal” beer yeast, while the latter has brett. Boulevard’s Tank 7, which you referenced, does not have brett, while their Saison-Brett does.

  4. This morning, BBC profiled your eponym’s mammoth new Hospital art project. Brian Eno’s art installation “repairs” the patients injuries through carefully thought out combinations of art, in part by incorporating Eno’s innovative technologies. One more incredible, socially beneficial accomplishment in a life filled with them.

Also this very morning the eponymous Eno’s namesake, Fangraph’s very own Eno “Enus” Sarris did what? Used the Internet to satisfy the fantasy desires of a anonymous young men. Adeiny ha’adonim, what would your parents, so blessedly hopeful at your brit milah, think?

  5. What of the theory that certain yeasts cause havoc in your digestive system? Many Belgian and Saison’s pain my gut like I had appendicitis, like nothing else. Randomn people have told me it’s the yeast.

  7. Eno Sarris: Actually I think Freeman doesn’t have much upside. He’s meh.

    This is dumb.

  10. I can totally believe that – all the different yeasts throw off different amounts of different chemicals as they eat the malt, and it’s entirely possible that belgian/saison yeast produces something your body doesn’t like!

  11. I have to work on Thursdays and have to catch up on your chats Friday AM (with the new baby and all) but they are by far the best. Now you have added burping and farting? It’s a can’t loose . Seriously though, after meeting you at the ballpark and sharing some West Coast and… it makes the reading all the better. We will have to do it again.
