  3. Minor correction-

    I remember this well because Lyon was a closer on my fantasy team, but he actually came into the game in the bottom of the 8th inning with the Dbacks trailing 2-1, so he was in line for a win instead of a save. This made it all the more painful for me.

    Needless to say, this wasn’t the only time late in the year that Brandon Lyon was kind to an opposing hitter’s WPA.

  6. Skip, they were down 3-2, with runners on first and second. Velez hit the ball to deep centerfield, so the runner from second scored to tie the game, 3-3, and by the time Rowand scored from first, Velez must have been at third, so he gets credited with a triple.
