  1. He’s likely going to be one of the most overpaid positional FA this year? true or false? (I guess Ibanez is virtually on par with him and he’s probably a worse player)

  2. I would say Bobby gets a bigger deal than Raul. I can see some team giving Abreu 3 yr-42 mil or something like that while Ibanez gets 3 yr-36 mil.

  4. As a Philly guy, I had to endure a lot of arguments regarding Bobby All-Star. He “K’s too much”, “doesn’t perform in the clutch”, or “doesn’t make enough plays at the wall” were some of my favorites. I noticed this recently. Take a look at his and Manny’s WPA’s from age 24-34. For Manny (’96-’06) the total is 40.30. For Bobby (’98-’08) the total is 40.01.

    How would the fact the Bobby played about 10 games a year more than Manny impact those numbers? Does replacement level WPA tend to be negative?
