  1. This post jumped off the precipice of history and plunged into my soul.

  2. Carson, is there a link that might take me to an updated listing of your Pitcher NERD scores as was done a month or two ago? Many graciases.

  3. Mm-hm.

  4. Has there ever been a day where we needed a complete NERD board more than the day that EVERY game was free on mlb.tv?

  5. FREEEDOMMMMMM

  6. Well, he says to watch Angels @ Rangers and Cleveland @ Minnesota.

  7. You saw all those paragraphs about Cleveland and Corey Kluber, right? You don’t need NERD scores to figure out what to watch.

Strasburg/Corbin would be fun if the game meant a damn. Well, it still might be fun, but it’s just an exhibition game.

  8. Apologies. That was meant to be in reply to Eminor3rd.

  9. Re: Free game of the day. It looks like all games are free for the last 3 days of the season (27th-29th). Something like “Last 3 for Free, presented by Jaguar”

    Nice.

  10. You guys think Kluber is a safe bet tonight @ MIN? A mediocre start could mess me up.

  11. My Ranger Homer Forecast says stormy weather for Kluber tonight

  12. One time me and Corey Kluber rode around in his Madness 9000 Turbo Machine to various donut shops looking for ways to access the mainframe.

  13. Since coming back from the DL:

    9/7 v NYM: W, 5 IP, 3.60 ERA, 1.2 WHIP, 5Ks
    9/12 @ CHW: W, 5 IP, 3.60 ERA, 1.4 WHIP, 2Ks
    9/17 @ KAN: ND, 4.2 IP, 5.78 ERA, 1.93 WHIP, 2Ks
    9/22 V HOU: W, 5.1 IP, 3.38 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, 6Ks

I think you can expect more of the same. If you need a win it looks like a good bet. Ratios aren’t sterling but not bad. Anybody know if he’ll be sticking to the pitch limits or if they’ll be stretching him out like they did with Salazar?

  14. I’m assuming the free games are still subject to blackout restricitons, correct?

    Comment by dan — September 27, 2013 @ 3:01 pm

  15. I’d use Kluber as a safe bet for 5Ks and an ERA in the mid 3.00s, but I wouldn’t use him to chase a win. Tito’s using his bullpen a ton and will be pulling Corey at the first sign of trouble, since they can’t afford a loss and still have a 14 man bullpen at present. I’d be surprised if he goes more than 5 innings.

  16. Since I have always been irrationally pro-Kluber, I did actually suggest this past March that he would likely be integral to the club’s success. Joe Sheehan laughed at me. :(

  17. Yes he is safe.

  18. According to Statistics, if Kluber gets the Pitcher Win tonight, he is the American League Most Valuable Player for 2013. Show ‘em how it’s done CK Baseball!

  19. Hate to break it to everyone, but Kluber isn’t very special.

    Comment by MFG — September 27, 2013 @ 10:36 pm

  20. What is the big deal with Kluber? Why name a fake society after him? Is he ok with it?
