  1. It isn’t all that hard to get hired by a MLB team. My cousin briefly worked for the Mets in video. Apparently Rick Peterson is a bit of a jerk.

But I’ve also heard others have great experiences.

  2. “Must have experience in… Linux (Ubuntu a plus), PHP, PostgreSQL, HTML, CSS, Unix Shell Scripting, Python, Ruby, and XML”

“Love of baseball… not strictly required”

It’s enough to make even a robot wince.

  3. Huh! Interesting- pretty much what I do, plus the obsession with baseball. Odd email address and lack of specificity, but what the hey. Thanks for the heads up.

  4. Yeah, I don’t think this qualifies as an Fangrpahs’ reader’s “dream job.”

But who knows. Work is work. And it would be pretty cool to say you work for an MLB team.

  5. I just think its great that this sort of opening would even be mentioned here, despite the fact that I meet none of the requirements and have a job I already enjoy.

  11. Why is this req sent anonymously with a gmail address? Why wouldn’t it be from a MLB team’s address or at least something @mlb.com? This seems kind of fishy.
