  2. I thought so… The “July 1″ convention always screws up a moron like me… let me go fix it. Thanks. And, yes, I’m an idiot.

  3. Thanks for the shoutout Matt. It’s tough to be me or that guy you saw in Arizona, but gosh darnit we try!

I see the team between 78-83 wins, leaning towards the higher levels. I wouldn’t be surprised if its higher, to be honest, given the team is replacing Hermida with a potential 2 WAR player in Maybin and not playing Bonifacio (hopefully) for another 400 PA. That’s improvement, my friends. Of course, Coghlan and the pen should regress, so we’ll see how that all plays out as well.

  4. You think Maybin will only be 2 WAR? What, is he going to miss half the season?

Okay, maybe I’m a bit too high on him…

It’s going to be hard seeing him suit up for the Red Sox in 4-5 years.

  5. You stabbed me in the heart, sir!

I’m not as high on Maybin as most people. I think if he’s average, I’d be happy. If he’s a 3 or so WAR player this year, I’d be ecstatic. That’s why I was very happy with what CHONE said about him.

  6. High strikeouts and GB rates usually aren’t a very good combination. I’m not all that high on him.

  7. Furthermore, Nolasco had elite peripherals, a K/9 over 9 a BB/9 around 2 and a K/BB around 4.5, he just had god awful luck. He’s a great rebound candidate this season.
