  1. The lack of Dodgers on this team is tragic. Where art thou, Ramon Troncoso? Where art thou, Blake DeWitt?

  2. HAHA I just knew Brayan Pena would make this team, remember?
” I still cant believe Brayan Pena didn’t make this team.” That was me, thank you for proving me wrong Carson.

“I’m still surprised Carson chose Kurt Suzuki at catcher instead of Brayan Pena, seems like an All-Joy type of guy.”

  4. Cram it, Nusbaum! You’re in Cistulli’s house now!

  5. Yeah, I remember that comment. And you’re right: Pena was ripe for the All-Joy picking. I just couldn’t, in good faith, take him as the starter given his (present) defensive reputation.

It’d be nice to see what he could do with more playing time. Unfortunately, things aren’t looking too good right now.

  6. How can anyone not pitch the guy with coolest baseball name that sounds like a junkballer from 1923. Are you friggin’ kidding me RJ SWINDLE …how utterly cool is that name. He came up thru the Phillies farm system and even pitched a few games in ’08. So that’s

    RJ SWINDLE and J.A. HAPP

two of the coolest, old schooliest names to date and their both crafty lefties on the same team at least for part of a season. That’s just baseball card cool. And they are decent pitchers… although if Happ’s BABIP and LOB% doesn’t regress this year I’ll get a sex change and join a convent .

  7. Carson: Are you (Carson) a big Infinite Jest fan? It seems to me that D.F.-W. has, through said novel (IJ), played a role in shaping your particular brand of humor.

That said, I love it. You’re a funny dude.

  8. No All-Joy Team can possibly be complete without Pablo Sandoval, regardless of criteria.

  9. If Colby Lewis is “Big in Japan” couldn’t he go by the nickname “Anvil” while you’re at it?
