As a Met fan and as much as I disagree with the questionable decisions Jerry Manuel makes, last night was a breath of fresh air not leaving a guy in who obviously isn’t right.
Yeah, but I can understand Maine. He’s been hurt and isn’t healing. He’s 29 and potentially looking at the end of his career. He wants to prove he can still pitch. Props to Manuel for realizing Maine wasn’t right and pulling him. I’m hoping that next year Maine is healthy and he looks back and thanks Manuel.
