No one cares about Travis Ishikawa.

On a serious note, if he’ll be starting at 1B for the Giants in the 2nd half when they are just 4 GB, I’m sure many a Giant fan does care about his performance.

I’m fine with J.T. production from Ishi, as long as we get Panda back. I don’t know this rotund fellow is that has been playing third, but he doesn’t know kung-fu, that much is for sure.

Pandas are cute and they’re pretty strong (and I hear they play a decent 3rd base..), but they’re pretty dumb. I heard that a panda mom squashed her cub in the SD zoo last month. That’s an evolutionary dead end if I ever heard of one. They also can’t seem to lay off pitches out of the zone, and word does tend to get around..

Oh, and I care about Ishikawa too. Also about Nate Schierholtz, who languishes on the SF bench because he doesn’t hit home runs..

Holy crap, never knew J.T. Snow was a 15 WAR player.

    Sorry, sorry…

Schierholtz also doesn’t walk, Fergie. Nor does he steal or get extra base hits.

I doubt Ishikawa remains in the starting lineup for long. He hit a grand slam off Ubaldo Jimenez about a week ago. Bruce Bochy – who loves to “ride the hot hand” – gave him the majority of the starts since then. He’ll cool off and Bochy will move Aubrey Huff back to first, which was the original plan when Molina was traded.

I agree, I think ishikawa is just not good enough a hitter to be regular at 1st base. I think huff moves back there, and shierholz or bowker gets the nod in RF

He was also a switch hitter for years. Did you know that?
