  1. Doubt Texas has to worry about Perez. Kiker may have bigger worries. His stuff has deteriorated to the point he might not be a top 15 pitching prospect for Texas right now. Got sent to AZL with injury concerns.

  2. It’s not like they would undo the Hamilton/Volquez trade if they could.

  3. Wow. Diamond got DFA’d twice! I knew he was bad but that is ridiculous for such a highly hyped prospect. I hope he builds on his successful debut because well the fall is drastic from he is now.

  4. His change up is far, far, far above average if it’s consistently like it was last night. It looks like a screwball. If it’s like that all the time then I think he could be a solid middle to back of the rotation pitcher. And if he can ever somehow get some velocity back… Yikes.

  5. Just discussed the McCarthy for Danks swap with a co-worker last week. Kenny Williams got roasted by sportscasters and journalists here in Chicago when it happened. Then Brandon McCarthy went on to be garbage, and Danks is pretty damn good, and only getting better.

  6. Anyone who considered Kiker the team’s #6 prospect coming into the season was insane.

  7. The historical examples make me glad Braves fans haven’t found a nick name for Hanson/Teheran/Minor yet (or, if Hanson doesn’t count, Teheran/Minor/Delgado).

  8. Kenny Williams is a wildly entertaining mixed bag of great trades and awful trades.

  9. Texas does have a new name for their top 5 prospects:

The Pentagon was Holland, Feliz, Smoak, Perez, and Scheppers.

of course Smoak is gone now and Holland and Feliz aren’t prospects anymore.

  10. The recommendations, on Amazon, about this documentary (Baseball) were spot on! It is, in every way, the standard by which I will measure documentaries from this point. I recommend this to any movie lover.
