Change it to mookie or gookie and he’ll be fine. =]
Burdi goes to Downers Grove North or South? I’d be inclined to believe North, but I’m not sure- my dad taught at north for a long time, and had met a couple kids who have come and gone through the draft (most recently the Cubs picked someone in ’08, don’t know about this yrs draft though). He’s spoken of Burdi a handful of times in the past. I wish I knew about this being right by Wrigley… can anyone attend these sort of things (so as a fan could I pay and go to watch?), or is it limited for scouts and VIP-only? Thanks. Nice write-up.
Downers South, actually. I went to Hinsdale Central, so was hoping to see Burdi pitch against my alma mater next year. Alas.
The event was open to the public. Tickets were dirt cheap, and I think they were letting people in early enough to see BP. You’ll have to do it next year. Check the Baseball Factory website for info on next year.

Ha, I know, and as they said repeatedly on the MLB Network broadcast, he lives on Baseball Lane.
