  3. Assuming Barajas holds his compensation value, it sounds to me like the Dodgers just bought a draft pick in what most observers think is a ridiculously deep draft.

  4. How do you keep posting under my name? I’ve had an account here since last september. I know it’s a common name, but I assumed that since it let me have the name, nobody else had taken it. Shouldn’t it not let you use that?

  6. The ‘win’ in the deal for the Mets isn’t that they got cash considerations for Barajas, its that they recognized how terrible he is and will continue to give the much more youthful and useful Josh Thole playing time the rest of the way.

  7. Can’t believe the Jays got a solid draft pick as compensation for this guy, definitely something wrong with the system when that happens!

  8. Wouldn’t a soon to be 36yo mediocre catcher be tempted to accept arb? Especially one that signed a deal a month before spring training last season.
