  2. Can the Royals even send Kila to the minors next year without his permission? He played his first minor league game for the Royals in 2002, at the tender age of 18.

  4. To play devil’s advocate, could there be something besides AAA numbers that the Royals evaluate when projecting ML performance? For instance, I just read someone say that perhaps they didn’t think his swing would “play” at the ML level. I’m no mechanics expert… Does this have any merit?

  5. This has been said about Kila multiple times by many many scouts. Merit? Who knows? I vote we find out, though.
