  5. You dorks are too cool for Charlie Brown, huh? Maybe you’d prefer the random A.D.D. nonsense of The Family Guy.

  6. The game on the 28th against the Sox, I believe Johnson hit a HR off Scott Atchinson, not Papelbon.

  7. Cut “Huh” and “Bill” some slack — they probably haven’t started shaving yet.

  8. I will never understand why Johnson isn’t a better hitter. .178 career ISO isn’t great, but with a 13.2 BB% and only 16.8 K%, he’s better than Lyle Overbay (better in all 3 categories), Adam LaRoche (significant BB% advantage outweighs slight ISO disadvantage), James Loney, and Billy Butler.

But despite good component stats, his career BABIP is .251 (despite satisfactory LD% and and IFFB%). Really, how he manages such an abysmal BABIP with so many other reasonable component stats is one of baseball’s great unsolved mysteries (tongue only partially in cheek).

  10. Just learned that Johnson is from the Twin Cities area – which is of course where Peanuts creator Charles Schultz was raised and spent part of his early career.

I get what the nicknaming people were trying to do here…
