  1. I’ve been hearing a bit about Yonder Alonso. And there were the trade rumors at the beginning of the offseason in regards to Votto. Who projects better for the Reds 3-4 years down the line, Alonso or Votto?

  2. In Cincinnati the talk is more of moving Votto to LF as her projects very well. My impression is that all the trade talk you heard was from teams who would like to acquire Votto as he’s been one fo few players that Reds have specifically said will not be traded (barring some ridiculous offer).

  3. I think the Reds can find room for both, as mentioned above. Votto is athletic enough to handle left-field. He won’t win awards out there, but he played 40 games in left-field for Triple-A in 2007 (He was drafted as a catcher).
