  1. “Long home run?”. Werth’s home run was to the lone short porch in AT&T Park, the 309 ft right field corner.

  2. The wall is 24 feet high. Sure, it didn’t travel 500 feet, but it didn’t travel 300 and squeak over an 8 foot hight wall either.

I guess you can take exception to the “long” but it wasn’t a cheapie either.

    Seems kind of nitpicky.

  3. it’s always notable when a RHH succeeds in knocking one out the other way at AT&T esp at night.

  4. giants didn’t score a lot, but there were a lot of hard hit balls vs. halladay. huff lined out a couple of times, for example. easily could have scored 4 or 5 with some hard hit balls dropping for hits. the phils bullpen though, was awesome. the same guys who wobbled the night before were dominant. Madsen, in particular.

  5. Madson and Wilson absolutely blow away any other relievers in the series. Both are absolute monsters

  6. Should be worth noting that Torres hasn’t been the same since his appendectomy. That takes something away from his speed both in the field and on the bases and I would imagine even at the plate. I think the drop in production may have something to do with him being less then 100% since the beginning of September and the grind of the post season can’t help.
