    Not that it matters, but he didn’t get the save. The game was tied when he came in, so he wasn’t eligible.

  4. I’m not sure how Heyward’s struggles were “a big reason why” the Braves didn’t hit much in this series. I think it was more due to the fact that the Giants starting pitching was pretty spectacular.

  5. If anything, this shows that WPA is a somewhat shoddy stat sometimes. It captures some really great and really bad performances, but it also miscategorizes pretty bad sometimes.

    Farnsworth listed in the “best games” is almost laughable. I mean… the guy came in, hit a guy, walked a guy, and was bailed out by an entirely unorthodox and unlikely double play. The outcome may have ended up all right, but no thanks to Farnsworth on that inning.
