  1. That’s a pretty damn good off year by a 21 year old in AA.

  2. For a guy who projects to win a few GG in center? Yeah, I’ll say…

  3. Anyone teach Heyward to hit yet or does he still have Mark Grace’s swing? Most overrated prospect in recent history.

  4. True, he needs to show some power to become the superstar that he can be. But most overrated prospect in recent memory? Come on. Let’s be serious. He’s shown a ton of power both in batting practice at camp this year and in games this spring. The dude is a beast.

  5. Keith Law is stumping for him to be the top overall prospect in baseball and he isn’t that much more enamored of him than the other analysts. If Heyward’s swing hasn’t been revamped since he was drafted, the guy is Delmon Young without a history of power.

  6. Have you followed what he’s been doing at all this spring? 12-39 with 2 home runs. I believe he also hit one against one of the WBC teams. People were raving all spring training about the shots he would hit during batting practice and inter-squad games. Oh, and just a day or two ago against Double A pitching he hit 2 home runs with 5 rbi’s.

I would say that’s pretty good for a 19 year old.
