  1. Victorino’s hurt and wasn’t even playing in the PHL/STL game. Martinez was playing CF.

  2. “Darwin Barney backed him up, but instead of throwing home to try and nab Scott Rolen, he threw to Matt Garza, who threw home.”

I think this is inaccurate. Barney DID try to throw home, only to have Garza intercept it at 1B. Hard to tell for sure though, Barney’s throw didn’t have all that much mustard on it.

  5. The late inning, run scoring wild pitch is rapidly becoming the most dependable aspect of teh White Sox “offense.”

  6. Except, the throw to 3rd was in plenty of time.

He should have thrown it TO Ramirez instead of the ball girl or whatever was a few feet to Ramirez’ left.

  8. “Coco Crisp: 3 for 4, 1 2B. He’s off to a slow start, though the term start is becoming less and less accurate.”

    So is the term “slow.”

  11. But the phrase “he’s having a decent season” is very boring.

  13. I don’t think anybody but die hard Twins fans will bother to watch his games for awhile unless he has lines like this a few more times.
