  1. Picked him up before his start against Atlanta and was pleasantly surprised.

    For now he’ll be at the back of my rotation with Masterson, Baker, and J. Sanchez (DL) to spot start here and there. Seemed like a safe pick-up in a league with pretty limited WW options.

  2. Plus, even if the strikeout rate drops, he gets to pitch half his games in Petco.

  3. I imagine Luebke will an an effective starter, but in his first start this year, the Braves looked lost as usual (with likely a bad scouting report too). They have a combined .661 OPS against lefty starters this season.

  5. Yeah, Luebke struck out the first three Braves looking.

    I will add that as someone who watches nearly every Padres game, I’ve been very pleased with Luebke’s poise. He came out of the bullpen in tough situations several times as a rookie and never seemed flustered.
