  2. “Looking at the Rangers’ lineup, we see that they are top in WAR at every position except for left field and right field”
“They are top five in the Majors in both WAR and wRC+ at catcher, second base, third base and designated hitter.”
Obviously, the first of these two quotes has something missing. What were you trying to say?

  3. Sorry, in the first sentence that should read “they are top TEN in WAR at every position except for left field and right field.”

  4. They should have never tried Feliz as a starter.

  5. I think it should be noted that in his last 24 appearances (past 2 months) 22.2 IP Feliz has K’ed 19 and walked 6, which is in line with where he was last year. Problem is during this time he has blown 3 of 14 save opportunities and allowed 14 runs (12 earned). Funny that early in the year when he was walking more batters than he was striking out his ERA was under 2.

  6. And is now fixed!

  7. Ogando’s arm is due to fall off in 50 IP too, it seems to me. Wouldn’t moving him back to the ‘pen (at least for a while) also preserve some the mystique his two-pitch repertoire needs to be effective? Conveniently, does not also directly address the vs.lefty issues?

They might be better served grabbing Kuroda and Choate.

  9. You’re playing with small sample sizes enough as it is, now you want to look at four monthly splits of a bullpen and assume it’s “trending up?”

Perhaps their total numbers are the best indicator we have of their true talent and it just so happens that each month has produced a better result.
