  4. Missed the chat, but a few thoughts for anyone who cares to scroll down this far

    1. Welcome back, Dustin McGowan! Overshadowed by Strasburg, but deserving of a warm ovation nonetheless. I’m not normally one for signmaking, but if he came to Safeco I would definitely make a happy sign. Unfortunately the Jays are not coming to Seattle anytime soon.

    2. Even ignoring the Greinke situation, Brewers fans should be happy they made the trade. This isn’t just about making the playoffs. It could be their last year with Prince Fielder, they want to make a deep run. Having Marcum improves their chances of that greatly.

    3. I disagree that Citi plays against David Wright’s strenghs. To me he always seemed more of a line-drive guy than a power guy. When his swing is working, he hits the ball hard with TOP-spin all over the outfield. Thus the roomy confines of his home park would play to his strength, increasing his 1B, 2B, 3B output (his strength) while decreasing his HR (still a strength, but IMO not the best part of his offensive game).

    4. Mike Trout is amazing. Lawrie fans should be happy that he is even being compared to Trout. With last year’s legendary rookie class, and this year’s also pretty damn good rookie class, I am extrmely excited for the very near future of MLB.
