  1. They will be playing vs the Yankees and/or Boston, high HR/9 is a huge problem. I’d say Scherzer is the problem.

  3. If Penny starts Game 4 I will eat my oldest, nastiest pair of shoes. It’s not even a guarantee Penny will make the roster. Below has been much better and is a lefty.

  4. Scherzer and Porcello have pretty big home/road splits, in the opposite directions; might make sense to start Porcello in game three if it’s away, and Scherzer in game three if it’s at home.*

  5. I think what’s going to happen is that Fister will take the road game and they’re just waiting to see how home field works out. That’s why Leyland had them both pitch in a game last week, ST style.

  6. Good rotation, solid (if not deep) bullpen, and a good offense that doesn’t need the longball to score. Looks like a team built for the playoffs to me.

  7. Does it matter after Verlander? If he can pull a Cliff Lee, the rest of the rotation just has to win half their games.

  9. Baseball saw it’s finest monments last night. Been a fan my whole life but the whole country became post season baseball fans last night with the most impossible thing that could never happen- HAPPEN! Let’s Roll.
