  6. Awesome&Great. Only complaint: Could you do something about those ugly dark colors :D ?

  7. You mean the colors of the lines on the graph?

    Comment by David Appelman — October 17, 2011 @ 11:55 am

  8. Yep. They were better previously :D

  9. Yeah, those can be changed. I’ll take suggestions for a color palette. Problem with allowing unlimited players is that I’d probably need 10 or so colors that work nicely together.

  10. Cool. Also: The chart for single seasons would need to go over 14 WAR (i guess 16 WAR) – I know it leaves quite some empty space but if you select Ruth, some of his seasons are literally off the charts.

  12. Hey, could you guys allow wRC+ graphs, so we don’t have to deal with WAR’s flawed defensive component, especially when it comes to 1Bs?

  18. There’s a whole tab for that in the leaderboards, it is pretty easy: http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=bat&lg=all&qual=0&type=8&season=2011&month=0&season1=2000&ind=0&team=0,ss&players=0

  19. Sometimes I do want WAR graphs including the defensive component, but I know that single-year defensive metrics don’t mean much. How about running a three-year centered moving average over the defensive values?
