But maybe I’m wrong and just have a very biter taste left in my mouth from his “tenure” with the Yanks . . .

  2. Someone should totally trade for him, and then sign him for a long term contract worth 80 plus million!!!!

  3. “With their playoff chances nearly flatlining”
I haven’t heard understatement like that since I lived in England.

  4. Wouldn’t the fact that his ERA is so high make some teams shy away from him? I mean, a lot of teams will look at his peripherals and come to your conclusion, but I strongly suspect that there are still at least a few teams that rely solely on ERA. That would inherently limit the pool of teams looking to get him, thus give the teams in the mix more leverage.

  6. He makes a lot of sense for the Brewers right now, getting Parra out of the rotation… then again, not sure they want to send the Indians anymore prospects, even if they are just fodder.

  7. That’s exactly what makes him such a potential bargain and really the point of the entire column. Way to pay attention.

  10. Well, tonight’s performance won’t create greater confidence in dealing for Pavano.

    4 2/3 IP, 7 H, 7 ER, 4 HR. Yikes.
