  2. What about Joe Savery, who converted from LHP to 1b and now back to LHP and is somehow a better pitcher than he was before?

  4. Jerry Gil… had a cup of coffee with the D’backs, now in his third or fourth year of pitching, as high as AAA level. In camp with the Jays, I think.

  6. Also, Jon Edwards signed with Texas as RHP after being released by the Cardinals as an OF; signing with an Indy team, and converting to RHP before Texas gave him opportunity

  7. Not too many pitcher to hitter conversions anymore. I recall there was one such successful conversion in 1918 involving a pretty good Boston Red Sox left hander power pitcher

  8. Oh! Oh! I know who you’re talking about! Wasn’t that guy traded for a song or a musical or a Broadway show or something like that? He had a very effeminate name; Ruthy Baby or something like that.

    It will come to me; I know it!!
