  1. Very cool. Love seeing analytical minds contribute to developing young players. Hopefully the players take his approach with them as they progress, allowing them to perceive their own value and improve on their faults. Should cut down on the “idiot” ballplayers who attribute their value to incorrect or one-dimensional statistics like RBI or HRs (low OBP sluggers Adam Lind, JP Arencibia come to mind as a Jays fan).

    Ugh… hate that mentality. Give me a good old-fashioned pitchers’ duel any day of the week, thank you very much. And I would have said the same thing if you’d asked me that when I was 10 years old.

  3. Is it really $80 a ticket to get into a Stanford game?

    and why stop at four kids? why not go for broke and say 10 kids.
