  1. From the bottom half of the draft? Those guys are all first-rounders.

  2. The formula for NERD is broken. There’s no way Bronson Arroyo is worthy of a 4 NERD score.

  3. The leg kick is worthy of bonus points.

  4. By the way, the Pitcher NERD on the Scoreboard page is broken – they look like old numbers?

  5. Can you update the Team NERD table? A lot has happened since April. Like, for example, I’d like to see the backstory on how MIL is 2 points NERDier than CIN.

  6. Indeed. As you say. Edited duly.

  7. OMG A TYPO, i must report it before i even re-read the sentence to make sure it’s a typo

for reference, here’s the sentence you mean: “whereas yesterday we looked at picks from the top half of the first round, today we look at picks from the bottom half.”

  9. Rizzo starting at first tonight in an otherwise snooze fest of a game in NYM at CHN

  10. The MLBTV free game is Dodgers-Giants. Kershaw!!

  11. Kershaw vs Vogelson, a rivalry game between a hot team and not so hot team (or maybe just a team finally playing MLB quality teams) is rated lower than ATL vs ARZ? I’m a Braves fan, and HUDSON VS HUDSON has me intrigued, but come on now.

  12. bad pitchers get high scores too. Home runs are intriguing aren’t they? To soomeone who is just watching the game to pass time or watch some baseball, as much as a real fan should be fine with long ABs and little baserunners, unless there is a truly dominant performance, the utter failure is more watchable.

  13. he meant the bottom half of the first round, i.e. picks 16-30.

  14. Dodgers swept both the Nationals and the Cardinals, for your information. They were just swept by the A’s. It’s more a case of a team of minor leaguers and utilitymen finally playing like a team of minor leaguers and utilitymen.

And the possibility of something like this happening should give every games Kershaw pitches a NERD score of 10 automatically.

  15. By the way, the word “this” in the second paragraph is a link to this but the comment html apparently does nothing to distinguish links.
