  1. Too bad we couldn’t highlight the amazing matchup of Kip Wells vs Carlos Zambrano. Two 0 NERDS? That’s impressive.

  2. Just curious, but what’s the continued fascination with Ben Sheets?

  3. Stephen Fife is the undecided vs. the Giants.

P.S. NEVER go against your well.

  4. Is what park the game is played in factored into these scores? If not do you think it should?

  6. Well a once dominant pitcher (8.25 K/BB and 8 WAR in 2004) after 2 years of complete inactivity is back throwing really well for a team that desperately needs him to better than anyone could have dreamed just 2 weeks ago.

  8. I wouldn’t think so. On TV, which is where I assume 99.9% of everyone who reads this column would watch the games, is there really that big a difference between a game in say, Camden Yards (a nice park) vs a game in the Coliseum (a not-so nice park). Although, this being fangraphs, there IS an article on the subject

they all look pretty much the same to me…

  9. Sheetz>>>>>Wawa

    *fixed that for you.

Someday Sheetz will conquer Philly and NJ and finally vanquish the scourge of Wawa from the face of the earth. You it’ll happen eventually, Sheetz is like an epidemic, but instead of killing you in the worst way imaginable, its on a mission to bring large, clean stores and reasonably priced custom-made sandwiches to the masses, and then kill them with the obscene salt content of said reasonably priced sandwiches.

  10. It’s quite difficult for me to dig against my well. I have to dig pretty deep.

  11. Once again NERD scores prove intuitively ignominious. A mere 6 team score for the team that would trade for Greinke by evening? Pshaw.

  12. Carson, I live in Madison. I would have gone to the game without being forced.
