  2. Given how much of the article has to do with pitch selection, I’m surprised to not see it mentioned how his poor stretch coincided with the timeframe where the staff was attempting to teach him a curve ball.

    Good article though.

  6. Was thinking the same thing. During that bad stretch Samardzija was using a curveball instead of his slider.
