Contract Crowdsourcing: DH Types
Free agency begins five days after the end of the World Series. FanGraphs is asking readers to estimate the years and average annual dollar values likely to be received by certain notable free agents. We continue today with DH types. (Click here for more on the contract crowdsourcing project.)
Other positions: Catchers / First Basemen / Second Basemen / Third Basemen / Shortstops / Corner Outfielders / Center Fielders.

Are you a Mike Trout fan, by any chance?
This is either a really stupid Cabrera supporter, or an ever so slightly less stupid Trout supporter.
ha! +1
Dr. Internet, I presume?
It’ll be interesting to see where Young ends up. Even Detroit won’t want their postseason hero back, considering Victor Martinez is returning to mostly DH and they have a crowded outfield. I don’t see him getting anything other than a one-year “prove it” deal. The DH market is too convoluted and teams are too smart to overpay for a guy with limited skill sets. I bet the NL adopts the DH in 2014 and that is really good news for him.
I wonder if Houston, who’ll need a DH for the first time, could be the landing spot for Delmon Young.
There’s a little Dr. Internet in us all.
