Insider Information from Anonymous Sources
A source with knowledge of the situation reports that certain colleagues of the author (including, but not limited to, Dave Cameron and Eno Sarris and Jeff Sullivan) had the temerity after dinner on Wednesday night in Nashville to suggest that this edition of the Notes — which includes state-of-the-art and cutting-edge SCOUT batting and pitching leaderboards for the Mexican Pacific League — that this edition of the Notes would be something less than a great peak presiding mightily over the landscape of sporting journalism.

That same source reported also that certain colleagues of the author (certainly not excluding the above named) are Stupid Jerks from Jerk Town, USA — population approximately three Jerks.

Beautiful Photo from the Internet of Mexico
Another thing that the source from above reports is that the author — who was doing some serious work on the front lines of the Opryland Resort’s Falls Bar & Lounge on Wednesday night — is that the author has composed the present work without the sort of rest that someone of his considerable talents generally commands.

So, instead of finding here notes on any players from the leaderboard below, let’s how about just admire this image of Mexico stolen from the internet.

Canizares was with the Braves a few years back. I wanna say he got a Sept. call up or something. Led his minor league in hitting for like 2 years.

Without the insider information, the gentlemen from Jerk Town might have been right. Now we will never know.
