Bauer with the well-deserved 16 NERD score, I love it.
Thank you for using your discretion properly, very handsome author.
Chris Young a zero. Does that mean you don’t like baseball ‘tall when 6’10” Chris young pitches? Such results make your little geegaw utter folderol.
I read these every day and I faithfully try to use the game NERD rankings to pick and choose where I spend my limited baseball attention. But then guess what–I don’t enjoy the broadcasts as much as I enjoy the anticipation that the NERD score brings me. So here’s an idea–how about you FG guys getting together and doing a live broadcast commentary on a game in progress? Choose the top NERD score (or whatever criteria you want) and do a live commentary as the game happens. It would be best if you guys did a broadcast that was on ESPN or Fox or some commonly (non-MLB subscription) network, IMHO. What do you think? Two or three of you guys would be SO much more interesting than the commentators on the networks.
I LOVE this idea.
Phhh I’m watching the dbacks/braves game for jurrjens, you are all crazy
LOL 16 nerd for Bauer! That’s awesome.
I enjoy that Bauer (16) + Jurrjens’ (0) total NERD Score of 16 is only outdone by 1 game (BOS/SEA).
[Scherzer & Shields sob discreetly]
Vinny Rottino has been designated by the Mets and claimed so there may be one less Vin/Vinny/Vincent than you’re expecting in that Mets/Dodgers game.
Even more impressive: Trevor Bauer’s NERD score is actually in a base-100 counting system.
I don’t know if it’s just the camera angle I’m not used to, but Bauer’s fastball appears to have some monstrous rise to it. The number of pop-ups he’s getting against the Braves suggests the same though.
I’m confused as to how my NERD score is higher than Madison Bumgarner’s.
