FanGraphs Audio: Prospects with Marc Hulet

Episode 276
Prospect analyst Marc Hulet discusses his first four organizational top-15 prospect lists for the 2012-13 offseason, with particular attention to Daniel Vogelbach (Cubs), Dillon Maples (also Cubs), Matt Szczur (also-also Cubs), and Garin Cecchini (Red Sox). Additionally, Hulet previews his Astros top-15 list (with specific notes on George Springer and Nolan Fontana) — and shares some material/analysis that’s frigging exclusive (!) to FanGraphs Audio.

This podcast is boring, little content, it is very slow, way too many ums, ugh, gaps, etc. Get to topic, talk more about players instead of trying to spread things out. Very disappointed with this.

Honestly, I love the Dayncast and the various other non-baseball segments that Carson does, but this episode was painful. Was it really necessary to talk at length AGAIN about Dan Vogelbach when a major prospect-based trade had gone down with a top 5 system sending out three of its top 10 guys? I think a little bit of trenchant analysis would have been nice rather than talking ad nauseum about how best to pronounce Garin Cecchini.
