Quick pre-chat question, or perhaps request: for the newly introduced metrics, it would be useful to have a top-of-your-head baseline number for what ‘good’ or ‘bad’ means for these. E.g. is FDP on an ERA scale? Or, hm, let’s see… King Felix has FDP-Wins of 1.7 this season. Is that good? Is that what you’d expect from his skill set?
Really? for the Vernon Wells deal, we got an impromptu Cameron chat strictly devoted to that trade. Now that we have the biggest deal in history–the Nick Punto deal–not only does it not get its own chat, the first Cameron chat after that deal is about something else? Boo
You didn’t have enough coverage of this deal already? I’ve read at least 8 articles on it between the major SABR-oriented sites…
RE: 2nd to last question: Dallas and Houston are 250 miles apart.
Why am I not surprised that after FDP is introduced there were a bunch of questions to the effect of “(insert pitcher) has a fantastic FDP, he is now significantly better than we thought right?”. People just cannot wait to try and confirm their own bias.
Is LD% taken into account
Are you not fond of tRA? I feel like the way it accounts for LD, FB, and GB is valuable, especially if one is talking about how a pitcher did in the past.
any chance the chat replay can be fixed? last question shows as 12:18pm, so I’m pretty sure there is more.
