although none of us probably could no for sure

to me in the (performance enhancing era HGH/steroids) a sudden drop off in velocity means a "decent chance" that the change is due to no more juicy juice.

any thoughts on this?

Yes, I saw the start and I'm definetly starting to get concerned...even Verlander's 4-seam is down, and thats throwing with effort.

Maybe we need to take a closer look at his mechanics to see whats up? Has something changed there? Dead Arm?

A loss of velocity combined loss of command is not a good sign...perhaps Detroit needs to shut him down and figure out whats wrong..

Bonderman too seems to have lost some velocity on his fastball, though not as much as Verlander. At the same time, he seems to be throwing the fastball more often, at the expense of his famous slider. Any thoughts as to what's going on there?

Wow, there just isn't much good news for Detroit this year. The AL wildcard looks a lot more open than it did on March 29.
