mets to date are only sending tejada and davis. is anyone else itching to find out who the OF and 2 pitchers will be? forgive me if they’ve announced it, but i haven’t found it anywhere yet.

last year they sent

murphy-1.106 ops
thole-.880 ops
bowman-.874 ops

parnell-1.20 whip
stoner-1.22 whip
kunz-2.34 whip

and vargas had a .97 whip but i think seattle sent him

quasi-examining afl stats is way sweeter than fantasy football. we really need some fantasy winter league action. come on fangraphs, i’d play.

he will hit the ball a ton.

dubious if he can stick at catcher. very unlikely by most accounts.

but he can probably hit enough so he will justify being a DH/1b.

I’ve been following Romine and Montero the past two seasons and have high hopes. I was wondering if Marc Hulett could expand on his thoughts about Montero or provide a link to anything he may have written recently about the young man from Venezuela whose season ended early.

Ruben Tejada does not have 19 HR in 488 AB. He has 5. He DOES have 19 SB though.
