One week after my departure. Dag-nabbit.
This is the first time in my life that I’ve wished I lived in New York.
Also, Dave, do something like this in Washington for those of us who live near you but don’t read USSM to know if you do things like this already because they’re not Mariners fans.
Dave lives in North Carolina.
He’s done events like this before in Washington, most recently in January.
I forgot to mention the most important part, it was for Mariner fans so it’s not quite the same in that respect.
Well why does he live there?!
You could follow me on twitter – they get announced there too, and my twitter feed is not just Mariners stuff.
So do I get the $15 when I register or at the door?
Sounds great. How many tickets do you suppose are available? I’m wondering if I should get tickets ASAP.
There are 350 seats available. I’d suggest buying sooner than later.
I just bought 348 and will post them to Craigslist shortly. $50 a pop.
Shame I’ll be away then…
I’ve never been to anything like this before, but I just bought a ticket and I was wondering if this is anything like a concert? And who is the supporting act?
Jon Heyman is opening.
Oh, awesome. A week after a drop into NY.
I’d love to go, but I’m usually away on the weekends in the summer and would like to know more about this.
Ugh. Why did this have to be going on the same weekend as the SABR conference?
Any chance this can be cast over the web – for those that cannot attend?
Will there be a Torah reading?
Idiot
Wow. That’s a remarkably strong crowd, even for a paid event. Good luck from the left coast; hope it’s as much fun as it looks like.
I’m in, just bought tickets for my wife and myself.
Brian, can you enlighten the rest of as to how you got your wife to go with you to a conference about sabermetrics? That’s awesome!
Also, any chance this comes to Chicago? I’m in WI and can’t make it to NY.
We were already going to be in town the 5th & 6th. On the 5th our son is taking us out to dinner for my birthday. On the 6th we’re doing tourist stuff, then that night my son is having his birthday party, about two blocks from the FG event. Then it was saying “Honey, we are going to be there anyway, we’ll just be leaving for home a little later”. Maybe it hasn’t sunk in that it will be three hours of sabermetrics.
She had agreed to go with me to SF for the Pitch f/x conference, but they waited too long to announce it and I didn’t have the money to go to the west coast.
I’ll be there, look forward to it. Should be fun
