As far as MLB tv coverage, I have only basic cable in Japan. Maybe once or twice a week there is a MLB game, but due to time difference it is usually in the morning, and it basically always is a team featuring a major Japanese player, so we get a lot of Mariners (Ichiro), Red Sox (Matsuzaka), and Yankee (Matsui) games.

At night on the news, there are generally highlights of all the Japanese players, but it is often just their individual at bats or pitches and doesn't even show the final result of the game.
