Dave, you would’ve gotten a major kick out of John Kruk’s bit on BBTN last night. For those who missed it, he basically went through the entire highlight and pointed out things like Fernando Perez running hard on a routine groundout and Andy Sonnanstine backing up first base on a fly ball to CF up 11-1 in the 6th. Kruk went on to say “This is why the Rays are winning ballgames.” I’d like to chalk it up to talent, but hey, Kruk’s got 100 major league homers, he must be right.

Joe Morgan’s world has turned upside down. I don’t get how those myths are so widely accepted as true when the two biggest small ball teams in the league, the Twins and Angels, are routinely ousted in the playoffs.
