If Renteria bounces back a bit, he could be worth bringing in around that time, since I doubt you would need to give up much (assuming the Giants are out of contention, it would only cost about $3,500,000 in salary). Everett provided them with a lot of defensive value (almost 1/3 of the team's non-negative defense) and with Polanco gone and Mags/guillen staying in the field, the tigers need all the defense they can find. As I point out in the name link, Porcello's 2010 fantasy relevance hinges upon the Tigers infield. This is a very good signing for the Tigers. I will concede Sizemore is the better defender, but Rhymes has had a better BB/K ratio over his career and a surprisingly small Speed Score difference from Sizemore.
